Hello,

I am Viktoria Netíková, founder and director of the Multicultural Center Brusinka in Brno. I have over 20 years of experience in IT administration and translation, during which I also worked as a freelancer. In 2020, I decided to transition into mentoring and fundraising, while still applying my experience from working in large IT companies. I specialize in financial consulting, career development, work-life balance and educational support, which allows me to help people gain clarity and confidence in both their personal and professional lives.

At the Multicultural Center, I support inclusivity, cultural exchange and help disadvantaged and migrant communities. My goal is to improve financial literacy, stress management and leadership development. I have experience with European cultural projects, including the Ukrainian School for Young Refugees. I believe in the power of diversity and in the ability of individuals to achieve their goals through mentorship and proper guidance.

What is a Multicultural Center in Brno?

The Multicultural Center Brusinka is a unique place in Brno where people from more than 108 countries come together. Since 2020, we have been promoting intercultural understanding, the integration of foreigners and community cohesion. We offer more than 40 types of classes and activities every month – for children, seniors, families and individuals, regardless of origin, age or health condition.

We help children succeed in school, adults find new opportunities and families build better lives. We believe that education, creativity and human connection have the power to change the world. But the sharp rise in energy prices, rent and operating costs is threatening our existence. Without your support, Brusinka may have to close its doors – and with them will disappear a space that gives people hope and a sense of belonging.

Why does it matter to us? Because we know that behind every face there is a story. A child who finally understood a school subject thanks to our tutoring. A mother who found a job after maternity leave thanks to our course. A senior who stopped feeling lonely thanks to our language club. And a volunteer who discovered a passion for working with people right here with us.

How can you help?

We are looking for volunteers who want to get involved in vibrant activities within a multicultural environment!

We offer a wide range of opportunities to engage:

  • Lectures, workshops and hands-on sessions – the chance to lead educational activities for schools and the general public

  • Ethnic workshops and festivals – supporting and helping organize events focused on diverse cultures

  • Support at concerts and festivals – assisting with organization, technical needs and participant coordination

  • Help with projects and conferences – administrative support and communication with partners

  • Work at fairs and exhibitions – representing the center and interacting with visitors

  • Improving the center’s spaces – creative updates, decorations and maintenance

  • Tutoring children from diverse social backgrounds – educational support and mentoring

  • Collaboration with the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (DOFE) – mentoring and leading youth activities

  • Organizing and running children’s camps during holidays – planning programs, leading activities and working with kids

  • Finding new partners for collaboration – networking and developing new projects

If you have specific skills or interests, let us know and we will find the perfect opportunity for you!
