In October 2025, Brno became one of the stops on the European tour of Italian composer and pianist Lorenzo Masotto, who presented his latest project Earde – a series of compositions inspired by journeys, quiet places, and the inner landscapes of the soul.
The concert took place in the beautiful hall of the Brno Philharmonic as part of the project Musical Bridges of Europe in Brno, organized by the Multicultural Center Brusinka under the leadership of Viktoria Netíková.
Masotto, known for his unique style blending classical, ambient, and electronic music, came to Brno with his wife, singer Stefania Avolio. Together they created an evening full of emotion, closeness, and music that speaks directly to the heart. As Lorenzo said in his Brno Daily interview:
"For me, music is a way to speak with people without words – to build bridges between places, cultures, and everything we carry inside."
The program also included a workshop at the Old Town Hall, where the Brno audience had the chance to explore Masotto’s creative process and discuss the connection between music, space, and emotion. There was also time for a walk through the city, during which the musicians discovered Brno’s atmosphere, culture, and the community that had joined the project with great enthusiasm. Lorenzo was deeply impressed by Brno – he appreciated its calm rhythm, friendly spirit, and architecture. He was especially fascinated by his visit to Villa Tugendhat.

The entire project was the result of collaboration among many partners and volunteers. Our special thanks go to the corporate volunteers from Kyndryl and AT&T, who helped ensure the smooth running of the event.Promotion and catering were kindly provided by Sesamo Brno, while media and institutional support came from FSS MU, ItaVision Brno (a platform promoting Italian culture in the Czech Republic), the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Praga, Europe Direct Brno, Eurocentrum Brno, film director Emanuele Ruggiero, and the Italian community in Brno.
As the project organizer and director of the Multicultural Center Brusinka, Viktoria Netíková, says:
"Our goal is to open doors for artists who are not yet widely known in Czechia and to build bridges between countries through music, sharing and friendship."
Thanks to the joint effort and the atmosphere of trust, the concert became more than just a cultural event – it was a story of cooperation, discovery, and connection among people from different parts of Europe.
Our collaboration with the Italian community in Brno continues – Brusinka now offers Italian language courses, and on November 15, we will host another Italian Evening at Sesamo Restaurant. We look forward to seeing you there!
